Affordable Housing Developers (AHDI) is a 501c3 non-profit community housing development organization whose mission is dedicated to the development, preservation and management of decent, safe and affordable housing for lower income households in North Dakota.
Incorporated in 1997, AHDI spent 15 years working as a pass-through entity for developers to utilize HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds. AHDI worked exclusively on the western half of the state co-developing projects in Minot, Williston, Dickinson, Washburn, Kenmare, Hettinger, New Salem, Bismarck, Watford City, Parshall and Stanley.
In 2012, AHDI became an independent developer expanding its service area to encompass the entire state of North Dakota. AHDI now takes a lead developer, owner and/or sponsor role in a variety of new construction and acquisition and rehabilitation projects. AHDI works with a variety of federal, state and local resources to meet the affordable housing needs of the communities in our state.
